Infants and Kids

Growing up is a challenging time. The body is constantly changing, growing in different ways at different times and at different rates. Some kids seem to shoot up 3" overnight, while others just seem to slowly continue growing every day.

Many kids are involved in multiple sports, which can result in falls and collisions that can throw things out of alignment. Kids are also notorious for not having the best posture! When it comes to little ones, birth may not have been an easy process. They are also constantly falling as they learn to crawl and walk.

Kids are also dealing with mental and emotional stresses in school, with friends and family, and in extra-curricular activities.

Spinal misalignments can lead to:

  • feeding  and latching issues

  • preferences to looking in one direction

  • sleep issues

  • headaches

  • back and neck pain

  • difficulty concentrating

  • bad posture

Caring for kids is different

Kids and babies are adjusted slightly different from adults. They are smaller and are very energetic! The ICPA (International Chiropractic Paediatric Association) is the main organization that specializes in teaching adjusting skills for kids and infants. Dr. Amber has taken numerous courses with their organization and is working towards her Paediatric Certification with the ICPA.

Regular chiropractic adjustments can:

  • help relieve aches and pains.

  • help support healthy growth and development

  • improve their posture

  • improve sleep quality (can be affected if they are feeling discomfort)

  • improve bowel movements
